sidvagn

sidvagn is a slimmed down version of nisho as a mod. a sidecar grid to use alongside other scripts, which pairs especially well with softcut based scripts. as sidvagn uses port 2 it can be used together with scripts that already use a grid.

sidvagn is: - an isometric keyboard with optional chord memory - an interval keystrip, - 8 kit keys for playing kits like sidFM, nb tonic, olican, smpKit or midi, - a sequencer and polyphonic key-repeater with trig pattern, and - 8 pattern recorders with different recording modes (clock-synced patterns can have a max. length of 256 beats).

the output is powered by nb. install any nb mods for more than midi. up to two nb players can be assigned to the keyboard and one nb player can be assigned to the kit pads.

• version 1.0 now includes automatic grid detection and port assignment. when a single grid is is use it is no longer required to manually set the grid port as this is handled by sidvagn. it is possible to remotely switch ports via parameter-midi-mapping under sidvagn > options > grid control > select/switch. this allows one to quickly switch between sidvagn and the currently loaded script.

• dual grid operation is also possible when the both grids are manually assined to their ports under SYSTEM > DEVICES > GRID. the main grid needs to be assigned to port 1 and the sidvagn grid to port 2. when two grids are connected the grid-select/swich parameter is ignored.

• the latest sate of sidvagn's paramters is automatically saved and recalled.
